Face Extrusion

The Extrusion tool is specific to the face Selection Mode. Start by creating a box with segmentation greater than 1. Activate the Extrude tool.

The first step when creating an extrusion is to select the face or faces to be extruded. Select a pair of faces on the box.

There are two ways to actually extrude the faces. You can manually apply a specific extrusion amount using the Tool Panel. Alternately you can click and drag on the selected faces to extrude them.

When you have multiple adjacent faces selected Shaper is not actually extruding each face individually. Instead it is extruding the faces together as a region.
